About the Founder
Meet Profe.
Misha — known to over a thousand students simply as “Profe.” — has spent more than a decade building Spanish classrooms that feel less like a lecture hall and more like a window into the world. She has a Bachelors of Arts in both Spanish and International Studies and a Master of Arts in Education from Union University. She studied in Nicaragua and Guatemala and lived in both Spain and Peru. She worked in the professional fields of healthcare, international missions, and finance prior to stepping into the classroom — experiences that shaped how she teaches language today: not as memorization, but as a real skill for real conversations with real people.
In alignment with Tennessee’s Modern World Language Academic State Standards & Tennessee’s Framework of Standards for Honors Courses, Profe. built her own American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL)-aligned curriculum from Novice Low to Advanced Mid proficiency levels — a program that has earned Advanced Placement (AP) credit, College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) semester hours, the international Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica honors cords and medal, and the distinguished Tennessee State Seal of Biliteracy or Bilingualism for her students. Profe. Global is that same curriculum, built for anyone who wants to actually learn Spanish — not just study it.
